Getting Around the JJB Website
- The homepage
On the home page we try to show you the best new and most popular products so finding the latest greatest new thing is easy for everyone. Just click on the one that takes your fancy.
- Getting back to the homepage
At any time to get to the JJB home-page just click the JJB Sports logo or the 'Home' link in the top-right corner of the page - it's that easy!
- Departments
If you choose to click on a department on the right-hand side, you'll then go to a page with some sub-departments. Selecting a sub-department will either show more sub-departments or a list of products.
- Product Listings
You may find that a sub-department has lots of products, and the one you're looking for isn't on page one. In that case you can view the different pages by clicking the next or previous links or the page numbers. The page number you are on will be highlighted to make it obvious where you are.
- Correcting a wrong turn
If you've clicked on the wrong sub-department by mistake you'll be able to get back to the major department by either clicking your browser's back button or by using the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page. The breadcrumb trail will resemble this; Home > Football Shirts > Premiership Kits > etc, where the last mentioned is where you are currently.
- Searching the site
If you know exactly the product you want, and if it isn't featured on the home-page you can search for it to save yourself some time. The search function is located just under the JJB logo. Type in your search term, preferably a one/two word term e.g. 'bat' and press Go or press return/enter on your keyboard. Your search may not be successful at first, if that's the case simply try again but modify your search terms slightly e.g. 'baseball bat'
Placing an Item in Your Shopping Basket
- Find a Product You Like
This is the easy part. After you've found the t-shirt/trainers/tennis racket of your dreams it's time for the next step.
- Zoom in on the image to check you really like it
This isn't the real world so it makes sense to examine the goods as much as possible. That's why we provide a zoom image feature. Just click on the image to see a larger image on the screen. To get rid of the larger image just click on the close button.
- Check For Availability in Your Size
Just like a real shop on the high street, we don't always have all sizes in stock all the time. Check for your size by selecting the size from the pull down menu - if we're out of stock there will a message saying so but if we have the product an add to basket link will appear.
- Add to Basket
You've found your item, you've zoomed in on it to check it's perfect, you've checked the stock levels and that it's available now you all have to add it to your basket. Simply click the red Add to Basket Button. That's it! Now all you have to do is buy your item or you may find you enjoyed this process so much you can't help but find more great products and add them to your basket too!
Buying the Items in Your Basket
- Getting to the View Basket page
Once you've added an item to your basket you'll be given two options; view basket or continue shopping. If you choose to continue shopping you will be taken back to the previous page you were on and you can start the shopping process again. If at any time you want to proceed to view your basket just click the View Basket button in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Reviewing your order
After adding all the items to your basket, you now have an opportunity to increase or decrease the quantity of items in your basket (depending on stock levels). You also have the chance to double-check your order and if you have a discount code you can apply it here. If everything here meets your approval press the Proceed to Checkout button to kick-start the checkout process.
- Login/Register
If you're not already logged-in or not even registered you will see this page. If you've purchased before all you have to do is log-in with your email address and password. If you haven't registered before simply click on the create account here link. There is more information about logging-in and registering in our Guide to Logging-in and Registering below.
- Select/Confirm Delivery Address
Select which address (if you have more than one) that you want to be delivered to. The reason for this is that you can multiple addresses like work or home or you can get goods delivered to a friend or relative if you wish. If you only have one address this will be selected by default and if it is your billing address e.g. it matches your credit/debit card address just press the Continue with Checkout button. If it isn't your billing address then you will have to add that address to your account.
- Choose Delivery Method
For most items there will be the option to choose standard or express delivery. Select your delivery method and press the Continue with Checkout button. Different items sometimes have different delivery prices and terms and conditions so please check our Delivery Information.
- Review Your Order
After you've picked your delivery method you're given a chance to review your total order with delivery prices. If everything is to your approval, press the Continue with Checkout button.
- Submit Your Payment Details
Here you must enter your credit/debit card details exactly as they appear on your card. For security we ask for your card's CV2 number which can be found on the back of the card and is usually the last 3 digits on the signature strip. If you are using a switch card you need to fill in the start month, start year and issue number (if applicable). Once you have entered everything correctly press the Complete Checkout button.
- Get Your Order Confirmation Number & Confirmation email
After you've submitted your payment you'll be sent a confirmation email and also shown a page with your order number on it. If you don't get both of these please email onlineenquiries@jjbsports.com to check your order has been progressed.
Registering & Logging-in
- Register
- Name, Username and Password
At first we need your name, date of birth, desired username, password, where you heard about us (which is optional) and whether or not you'd like to receive updates on JJB Sports and its affiliated companies.
- Dealing with errors
Every now and again you'll make a mistake. We try to eliminate them as much as possible but mistakes inevitably occur. When you make a mistake you'll see an error message appear detailing what you have done wrong, simply read through it carefully and correct your mistake. The common errors are choosing a username that has already been selected or choosing a username and/or password that is either shorter than 4 characters or longer than 10 characters.
- Add Address
- Description of your address, Postcode and contact number
During the first stage of adding your address you will need to add an Address Description e.g. home or work or Steve's Place. A contact number for that address and then your post code and press the Rertieve Address button. Our automated system will work then with you so you don't have to type too much more.
- Select Address From list
Our automated system, gathers all the addresses with the post code you entered. Simply select your house number from the pull down menu - it will be there but it may be at the bottom so read through carefully. Once you have chosen your address press the Submit button.
- Modify and/or Save details
Your details should now be correct but you can modify them if you want after you're done modifying your address or if you haven't needed to simply press the Save Address button and you'll be free to make purchases on JJB Sports Online Store.
- Log-in
- Enter email address & password and press log-in button
Hopefully you know your password which should have been emailed to you when you registered.
- Forgot Your Password?
If you have forgot your password than retrieving it is simple. Click on the Forgot Your Password? link and fill in the username and email address fields and press the Submit Details button.
